Recent Advances in Landslides Engineering and Technology....

Serving the Community

Composite Landslides are a serious geo-hazard common to most countries of the world. Globally, landslides cause billions of dollars in damage and thousands of deaths and injuries each year. In this special issue you will read original research papers on recent advances in landslides engineering and technology. The main purpose of the journal was to foster deep understanding of the fundamental mechanisms behind the phenomena and processes of landslides, their impact to mankind, as well as preventive/remedial options to minimize, if not prevent, loss of lives and limit damage to infrastructure. We tried to capture and archive the advancement in this field on time and in one place.

Scope of the Special issue:

  • Methods for assessment and analysis of landslides (soil/rock slide, rock fall/topple, mud/debris flow)

  • Early warning systems for landslides and erosion

  • Preventive/remedial options for landslides, including control for erosion

  • Case histories of landslides
